Nimbalkar Borewells & Water Supplier is tucked away in the Laxmi Industrial Estate between Kothrud and Versova. It is a busy industrial area, so there is always the sound of engines and people working nearby. We have our drilling rigs and water tankers parked out front when they aren't on a job. The office is just a small room with a desk and some old maps of the local water tables. We spend most of our time out on sites, which can be anywhere from a private backyard to a big construction project. Drilling for water is a messy business with a lot of mud and noise. We have to be careful with the equipment because the ground around here can be quite tough. When we are not drilling, we are busy with the water deliveries. The tankers are constantly going back and forth through the traffic in Kothrud. It is a lot of coordination to make sure the drivers know where they are going. We don't use any fancy apps, just a logbook and our phones. The industrial estate is a bit worn down, but it is a good central spot for us to reach our customers. We are just a local crew that knows the ground and the pipes. It is tough work and we are usually tired by evening, but that is the business we chose.
