If you come out to 24/215 Nigdi Pradhikaran, that is where we do all our work with guitars. It’s a quiet area compared to the city center, which is nice when you are trying to listen to how an instrument sounds. The shop usually smells like wood shavings and lacquer because we are always working on something new. We have guitars leaning against the walls and various parts like bridges and tuners sitting on the worktables. It isn’t a high-end showroom; it’s more of a workshop where we actually get our hands dirty. Sometimes the sawdust gets everywhere, so we spend a lot of time sweeping up at the end of the day. We don't have many people working here, just a few of us who know our way around a fretboard. The lighting is a bit dim in the back where the heavy sanding happens, but we have some bright lamps for the detail work. People from around the neighborhood sometimes stop by just to see what we are making. We don't spend much time on marketing or anything like that because the work keeps us pretty busy as it is. It’s a bit cramped with all the cases and wood planks lying around, but we know where everything is. Living and working in Nigdi is pretty peaceful, and we just enjoy the process of putting things together. It’s just us and the instruments every day. We don't need much more than some good wood and a few tools.
