N N Lele Associates has been tucked away in Sadashiv Peth for quite some time now. Our office is in the Bhagyanagari Apartment, which is right across from the Maharashtra Mandal. If you know Sadashiv Peth, you know it’s full of old buildings and narrow lanes. It’s a very traditional part of town. We work out of house number 1577, and it’s a bit of a maze to find us if you’re not from around here. The office feels lived-in, with lots of old files and wooden furniture that’s been around as long as the building. We don't have any flashy signs or anything. We just do our work quietly. Being near the Maharashtra Mandal is helpful because everyone knows that landmark. We see the kids going for sports practice every day while we’re sitting at our desks. The atmosphere here is very different from the new glass offices in the IT parks. It’s more personal. We know the neighbors, and we know which tea stall has the best snacks in the afternoon. Sometimes the parking is a total nightmare, but that’s just life in the Peth area. We just deal with it and keep going. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lobby. We just want to get the documents sorted and help the people who walk through our door. It’s a humble setup, but it works for us.
