Ms Vishakha

This business, Ms Vishakha, is run out of flat no.4 in Damodar Nagar, right off Ashram Road. It’s not a shop with a big window or a sign out front, just a quiet place where I get my work done. Sometimes it’s hard to separate home life from work when you’re in a flat, but you get used to it after a while. I handle everything myself, from answering the phone to keeping the records straight. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays fairly calm during the day, which helps me focus. I started this because I wanted to do something on my own terms without having to commute across the city every day. It’s just me here, so if the phone rings while I’m busy, people sometimes have to wait a bit. I don't have a big staff or a fancy office setup. It’s just a desk, a computer, and a lot of papers scattered around. People usually find out about me through word of mouth or if they live nearby in Damodar Nagar. I try to stay organized, but sometimes the paperwork piles up more than I’d like. It’s a small operation and I like it that way because I can keep track of everything myself. It’s just a normal way to earn a living without all the corporate stress.
