Mitcon Biotechnology Centre

The Mitcon Biotechnology Centre is tucked away in Kothrud, Pune 38. We are in Flat No 1 of the Pradnyakiran Apartment building. This is inside Pradnya Park, which is part of the Mahatma Co Op Society. It’s a very residential setting for a biotechnology center, but that’s just how we like it. It keeps things calm and focused. We don’t have a giant lab with glass walls that you see in movies. Instead, it’s a practical space where we handle our research and paperwork. Being on the ground floor, Flat No 1, makes it easy to move equipment in and out when we need to. The society is full of trees and it’s a nice place to take a walk when your brain gets tired of looking at data. We’ve been part of this Kothrud community for a long time. Our neighbors are mostly families, so we keep things quiet and professional. We don’t use a lot of technical jargon when we talk to people. We just explain what we are doing in plain English. The space is a bit lived-in, with books and files stacked up in the corners. It shows that we actually do work here. It’s not a showroom; it’s a place where we try to figure things out. We appreciate the slow pace of the Mahatma Society because it lets us concentrate on the science without distractions. We’ve got a good routine going here.
