Milton Plastics Limited

We are located out at 28/29 on the Pune Nagar Road, right in Village Shikrapur. Being in Taluka Shirur means we are a bit far from the main city, but there is more space out here for the factory. Milton Plastics Limited has been part of this landscape for a while now. The commute for some of the workers is long, so we start the shifts early. The warehouse is huge and stays fairly cool in the mornings, but by afternoon, the sun really hits the roof. We have rows and rows of plastic goods stacked up to the ceiling. It’s a lot of manual work, moving pallets and checking the quality of the batches. Sometimes the trucks get delayed on the highway, and we all just end up waiting around the gate. The village has changed a lot since we first set up here. There are more shops now and the road is much busier than it used to be. Inside the office, it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards and the cooling fan. We don’t have a lot of visitors, mostly just suppliers and the occasional driver looking for directions. We keep things pretty basic. There’s a small canteen where we eat lunch, and we try to keep the machines maintained so they don’t quit on us in the middle of a big run. It’s a quiet kind of busy, just doing the same tasks every day out here in Shirur.
