Meera Varieties

Meera Varieties is located right opposite Sharada Bank on the Pashanbaner Link Road. It is a busy stretch of road and we see a lot of cars and buses going by all day long. We keep a lot of different things in the shop, from basic household stuff to small items people might need in a hurry. The shelves are usually pretty full, so we spend a lot of time rearranging things to make space for new items. It’s just a local shop where you can stop by and pick up whatever you’re missing at home. We know a lot of the neighbors because they’ve been coming here for years and we chat with them. The shop isn't anything special to look at, just a regular place with a counter and rows of goods. Sometimes it gets a bit messy when we get new stock in and haven't had time to put it all away properly. Pashan and Baner have grown so much lately, so the traffic on the link road is much worse than it used to be. We open up in the morning and stay until late evening. If it’s raining, we have to move some of the stuff inside quickly so it doesn't get wet. It’s a lot of work just keeping everything running, but we like being part of the community here. There isn't any fancy staff, just us working the counter every day. That’s just how it is.
