Most of our time is spent right here at Shop No. 7 in Dhanwanti Apartment. If you know Lane No. 26 in Ganesh Nagar, you know it can get a bit crowded with parked scooters and people walking by. Being in Dhayari means we see a lot of the same faces every day. Mauli Interiors is not some big corporate office with a receptionist and coffee machines. It’s mostly just us surrounded by samples, catalogues, and measuring tapes. The shop is small, but it fits what we need for the day-to-day. We usually start pretty early before the traffic on the main road gets too loud and distracting. If the old fan is rattling, we just give it a tap and keep going. We don’t spend much time on fancy talk or writing up long plans that nobody really reads. People just come in, ask if we can do something, and we tell them honestly if we can or not. The light in Dhanwanti Apartment isn't great in the evenings, so we have a few extra lamps plugged in by the back wall to see what we're doing. It’s a practical place for practical work. We’ve been in this part of Dhayari for a bit now and we like being near the local market for snacks. Sometimes we get caught up talking to the neighbors instead of working, but that’s just how life is here. We try to keep things organized, but there is always a bit of dust. It's just home for us.
