Manish Narayan Architects

Our place is in Erandwane, specifically at 41318. Manish Narayan Architects is a small firm, and we’ve been around this neighborhood for a good number of years. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy website. Most of our work comes from people walking in or calling because they saw one of our sites nearby. The office is pretty simple. We have a few chairs for visitors and a big desk where all the magic—or mostly just hard work—happens. We deal with a lot of local residential stuff. People want to fix up their old family homes or build something new on a small plot. We listen to what they want and then tell them if it’s possible or not. We try to be very direct about that. We don't like wasting anyone's time. Sometimes we have to go back to the drawing board three or four times before the client is happy. That’s just part of it. The traffic in Erandwane can be a bit much, so we try to schedule our site visits for early in the morning. We’ve got a lot of rolls of paper tucked into corners and stacks of files on the floor. It’s a busy little office. We don't wear fancy clothes; we're usually in whatever is comfortable for walking around a dusty construction site. It's a plain way of working, but it suits us and the people we help.
