Laxman Bricks Maker

Laxman Bricks Maker is located right at Post Moshi. We have been working here in Tehsil Haveli for quite some time now, just doing what we know how to do best with the mud and the fire. The ground in this part of Haveli has really good soil for making bricks, so that is exactly why we stayed put all these years. It gets pretty hot during the summer months, which can be exhausting, but that actually helps the bricks dry out a lot faster before they have to go into the kiln. We aren't some huge factory with hundreds of workers or anything like that. It's mostly just a yard with big piles of earth and stacks of finished bricks waiting to be moved. When you live in or around Moshi, you just get used to the smell of the smoke from the kilns drifting on the breeze. We try to keep things organized, but a brickyard is always going to be a bit of a mess with all the dust and the broken bits lying around. It's a lot of manual labor, mostly carrying heavy loads back and forth until the sun goes down. People from all over Haveli come to see us when they are starting a new building project. We don't spend any money on fancy ads or big signs. Most people just know us by name through word of mouth. Sometimes the clay isn't exactly right and we have to work harder. We just keep the kiln going.
