Our office for Knight Frank India Pvt Ltd is at 560 Sadashiv Peth on Laxmi Road in Pune. If you know Pune, you know that Laxmi Road is incredibly crowded and full of shops. We are right in the thick of it. It can be quite a challenge just to get to the office through the crowds, but it is a lively place to be. We have a small office space where we handle property matters. It is an older part of the city, so the building has some character to it. We don't have any modern glass walls or high-tech gadgets. We just use standard desks and computers to get our work done. Most of our day is spent dealing with the paperwork that comes with real estate in such a busy city. We hear the sounds of the market and the traffic all day long. It makes us feel connected to the city. We are not interested in sounding like a big corporation. We are just local people who know the Sadashiv Peth area well. We work through our tasks one by one and try to keep things as simple as possible. It is a very traditional way of working in a very traditional part of Pune. We just show up, do the job, and go home after we make sure all the lights are turned off and the doors are locked. It is a steady way to make a living in a place we know.
