Kakade Water Suppliers

Our business is Kakade Water Suppliers and we operate out of the Blue Rose Industrial Estate in Lohogaon. We are located right near the Western Express Highway. It is a very industrial area with lots of warehouses and factories. There is always a lot of dust and the sound of heavy engines in the air. We have a fleet of water tankers that we manage from here. Our day is spent coordinating the trips for the drivers and making sure the tanks are filled up. The office is just a small cabin with a couple of desks and a lot of paperwork. We don't have any fancy signs or advertisements. People call us on the phone when they need a water delivery and we send a truck out. The highway traffic can be very bad, so we are often checking the clocks to see if the drivers will make it on time. We have to do a lot of maintenance on the trucks ourselves, like checking the tires and fixing leaks. It’s a very practical and hands-on kind of job. The yard is mostly dirt and gravel, so it gets muddy when it rains. We know most of the other workers in the industrial estate. It’s a tough environment but we’ve been here for a long time. We just focus on getting the water to where it needs to go. We keep a log of every trip in our big notebook on the desk.
