I've been here in Shivane for quite a while now. Most people around Deshmukh Vaadi know the shop because we've been sitting at number 9 for years. It’s a small space, usually filled with stacks of old computer towers and open laptops. My desk is usually a mess of screwdrivers and tiny screws that I try not to lose. People come in when their phones stop charging or their screens crack. It happens a lot. Sometimes it's just a software update that someone can't figure out. I started this because I liked taking things apart when I was younger. Shivane has changed a lot, more traffic now and more people moving in, but this corner stays mostly the same. I open up in the morning, sweep the front, and then start going through the repairs that came in the day before. Some days are slow and I just sit and watch the street, maybe have tea with the guy next door. Other days, three people are waiting at the door before I even get the shutter up. It's just me and a couple of guys helping out when it gets busy. We don't have fancy displays or anything. It's just a workspace where we try to get your tech working again so you can go about your day. It gets dusty, but that’s just how it is with electronics and a busy road outside.
