Jijau-Pro Womens Agro Farmers Producercompany Limited is located at Ananda N. Wakchaure’s house in Kalas Budruk. That is in the Akole area of Ahmednagar. We are a group of local women who have come together to manage our farming business as one. Each of us has our own small bit of land, but by forming this company, we feel a bit stronger. The house in Kalas Budruk is where we keep our documents and where we gather when there is something important to talk about. We do not have any fancy titles or a corporate structure. We just have a shared goal of making our farms work better for us. In Ahmednagar, we deal with all sorts of weather problems, so we try to share our knowledge about what grows best. We are not interested in sounding like a big commercial entity. We are just hardworking women who know the value of a good harvest. We do all the work ourselves, from planting to the paperwork. It is a lot to handle, but we are learning as we go. We started this because we wanted a way to sell our goods directly and keep more of the money in our own pockets. It is just a practical way for us to support our families and keep our village life going. It is honest and it is ours.
