Jatin Arts

Jatin Arts is over at 646/2 in Vadgoensheri, near Vidyavih in Dadar West. We’re right opposite the Arnold Central School. You can usually hear the kids playing during recess if the windows are open. It’s a lively spot to have a business. We do a lot of different art-related work here. It’s mostly hands-on stuff. The shop is filled with brushes, paints, and different materials we’ve gathered over time. It’s definitely not a tidy place. There are paint splatters on the floor and stacks of old projects in the corners. We like it that way because it shows we’re actually working. We don't have any corporate training or big business plans. We just learned by doing things over the years. People from the neighborhood stop in when they need something made or if they’re just curious about what we’re painting that day. Sometimes we work on the sidewalk if the piece is too big to fit comfortably inside. The traffic on the street can be quite loud, but we’ve learned to tune it out. We don't spend money on ads. Word of mouth works well enough for us. If someone likes what we did, they tell their friends. That’s how we’ve kept going for this long. It’s a simple way to run things, but it works for us. We just keep our heads down and finish the projects.
