Jagmohan Mendiratta

I am Jagmohan Mendiratta and you can find me over at Aundh Zaveri Bazar, specifically in section D 6. This area is always buzzing with people looking at things and talking about prices. I’ve been set up here for some time. It's a small space, but we make it work for what we do. Mostly, people come in looking for specific items or just to ask questions about what's available that week. The street outside can get quite narrow when the deliveries are coming through. I spend a lot of my time just organizing the stock and talking to the regulars who have been coming by for years. It's not a high-tech operation, just a counter and some shelves. Sometimes the heat in the afternoon gets a bit much, but we have a fan that keeps things moving. I don't really do much advertising because most people just know where we are by now. It’s a family-run kind of thing, so we don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. We just open up in the morning, do the work, and close when the sun goes down. If the door is open, someone is usually inside ready to help. Life in the bazaar is fast, but we try to take our time with whoever walks in. It’s about the people as much as the items. We hope to stay here for many more years, just doing the same honest work every single day.
