We are located in Budhwar Peth, right by Sohail Park on Sarkjej Road. If you know this area, you know it’s always busy and there’s always something going on. Being at number 618, we’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. Imperial Arts isn't a massive gallery or anything like that. It’s more of a workshop where we get things done. We have a lot of frames and art supplies scattered around, and sometimes it looks a bit messy to an outsider, but we know exactly where everything is. The light in this part of the building isn't always the best, so we use a lot of desk lamps when we’re working on the finer details. It’s a quiet kind of work compared to the noise on Sarkjej Road. Sometimes customers come in with old photos or pieces of art they want fixed up, and we spend hours just looking at the edges and trying to get things straight. We don't have a big marketing budget or a fancy sign. Most people just find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a neighbor. It’s a small operation, just a few of us who actually care about how things look when they leave the shop. We drink a lot of tea and spend a lot of time measuring things. It’s a good way to spend the day, honestly, even if the floor is always covered in wood shavings and paper bits.
