Hindustan Refrigeration Company is located right here in Katraj. If you've spent any time in this part of the city, you probably know the area well. It’s a bit of a hub for people moving through. Our shop is where we handle all things related to cooling and refrigeration. It gets pretty hot around here in the summer, so we stay fairly busy most of the year. The shop is filled with old units, copper tubing, and various spare parts that we've collected over many years. It’s not the cleanest looking place, but it's where the actual work gets done. We don't have a big corporate office or a fleet of fancy branded trucks. It’s just us and our tools. Most days are spent diagnosing why a compressor isn't kicking in or trying to find a small leak in a system. It can be frustrating work sometimes, especially when a specific part is hard to find for an older model, but we usually manage to figure it out. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just fix things that are broken so people can keep their stuff cold. The locals in Katraj know they can just drop by and ask a quick question. We aren't always sitting at the desk waiting for the phone to ring; usually, someone is hunched over a machine in the back with a flashlight. It’s practical, manual labor and that’s what we do here. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
