Hindustan Magnets & Electronics Company is right on the Bombay Pune Road in Ganesh Chamber. If you have ever driven through Wakdewadi, you probably know the building. We are at Plot No-10/B, which is a busy spot with all the trucks and cars zooming past all day long. The noise from the road is something you just get used to after a week of working here. Inside, it’s mostly just us surrounded by magnets of all sizes and various electronic components. It can get a bit dusty because of all the inventory we keep on the racks, but we try to keep it tidy enough to find things quickly. We spend a lot of time testing parts and making sure they work before they go out. It isn't a very big team, just a few of us who have been here for years. We know where every single item is kept, even the small stuff that looks like junk to anyone else. Sometimes we have engineers coming in looking for a very specific type of magnet for a project they are working on, and we have to dig through the back to find it. It's practical work. We don't have a fancy lobby or anything. You just walk in, tell us what you're looking for, and we see if we have it in stock. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us and the people who buy from us. We just keep our heads down and get the orders out.
