S.S. Chemicals

S.S. Chemicals is located at Plot No. 108 in the Swami Vivekananda Industrial Estate, down on Handewadi Road in Hadapsar. It is a fairly large area and can be quite noisy with all the other factories nearby. We deal with various chemical mixtures and liquids. It means there are always plastic drums and metal barrels stacked up along the walls. We have to be careful with the labels and making sure everything is stored where it should be. The smell is something you notice the moment you walk in, though we don’t really smell it much ourselves anymore. It’s just the smell of work. Our team is small, mostly people from the local neighborhood who have been with us for years. We don't have a big fancy office. Just a small room with a wooden table and a few chairs for when customers come by to talk about their orders. The weather in Hadapsar gets really hot, so we try to do the heavy mixing early when it is still a bit cool. We don’t do any big promotions or sales pitches. We just fulfill the orders we get and try to keep our costs down so we can stay in business. Sometimes the traffic on Handewadi Road makes it hard for the trucks to leave on time, but that is just part of being in this location. It’s a busy, messy, and honest way to make a living.
