Bombay Chemicals Pvt. Limited is actually headquartered in Mumbai, but we run this part of the business from 114-B, Plot No.28 in Vidhya-Nagar. We are located in Shelgi, which is on the outskirts of Solapur. It might seem a bit odd to have a Mumbai company name while we are sitting here in Solapur, but it works out well for us. We handle the distribution and the local side of the chemical business for this district. The office is a simple building in a quiet neighborhood. We don't have many walk-in customers, so it is mostly us dealing with logistics and phone calls all day. There are a lot of crates and documents moving through here. We keep a close eye on the stock and make sure the deliveries are going out to the right places. The weather in Solapur can get very dry and dusty, so we are always cleaning the desks. We are a small team and we have a very casual way of working. There are no suits or ties here; we just wear what is comfortable for the heat. We have been at this post for a while and we know the local market pretty well. It is a steady job and we like the people we work with. We just focus on getting the chemicals where they need to go without any fuss.
