Shelke Bricks

You can find us in Hadapsar, tucked away behind the Patole Pump. We are in the Aakashwani Vasantsmruti area. Bricks are basic, but everyone needs them if they are building anything at all. At Shelke Bricks, we don't try to make things sound more complicated than they are. We have stacks of bricks, and we move them from one place to another for our customers. It’s dusty work, and your hands get rough after a few years of doing this. The location behind the petrol pump is actually quite handy for the trucks coming in and out. We spend most of our mornings checking the quality of the loads and making sure the counts are right. It’s not the kind of job where you sit in an air-conditioned office all day. We are out there in the heat, talking to the drivers and the loaders. Sometimes the rain slows everything down because the ground gets muddy and it’s hard to move the stacks without them getting messed up. We don’t have any fancy brochures or salesmen. People usually find us because they saw our yard or heard about us from someone else in the building trade. It’s a steady kind of life. We just focus on keeping enough stock so that when someone shows up needing a few thousand bricks, we don't have to turn them away. It’s just us, the bricks, and the daily grind in Hadapsar.
