Our office is way up in B/503 at Hadapsar. It’s in the Dhandian Mohalla area, near Missran Chowk. It’s an older part of town with a lot of character and very narrow streets. Being on the fifth floor, we get a little bit of a breeze if we leave the windows open, which is nice because it can get quite stuffy in the summer months. We handle real estate around this area, mostly residential stuff but a bit of commercial too. The building is one of those older ones where the lift sometimes has a mind of its own, so we end up taking the stairs more often than we’d like. It keeps us fit, I suppose. The office itself is just a few rooms with tables and chairs. We have a lot of folders piled up on the side because there’s always so much paperwork with these property deals. We don’t use any fancy software or big screens; we just write things down and keep track of who is looking for what. People from the Mohalla stop by quite often just to ask about prices or to see if anything new has come up for rent. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we’re just here to help people find a place to live or work. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes even Sunday if someone is really in a hurry to move.
