My family has been around the Laxmi Peth area for a long time. Our place is right behind the railway station, at 164/1. It’s a busy spot with trains coming and going, so there’s always noise outside, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We started this because there was a need for someone who actually knows the local trade inside out without making things complicated. People just drop in when they’re passing through the station or living nearby. It’s not a big fancy office with glass doors. It’s just us here working through the daily pile of tasks. Most days I’m just handling the paperwork or talking to folks who have been coming here since my father's time. We try to keep things moving. Sometimes the ledger gets a bit messy, but we know where everything is. It’s a small operation, really. Just me and a couple of others helping out. We don’t have a website that works well or anything like that. If you need to find us, you just walk past the station entrance and look for the old building at 164/1. It’s easier that way. We stay open until the evening rush is over. Some days are slower than others, but that’s just how it goes in Laxmi Peth. We don’t do big ads. Word of mouth is usually how people hear about Ganesh Ramchandra Apte. It works for us and keeps the lights on and the tea hot.
