French Connection

We are located at French Connection, which is inside the Central Mall. The mall is in Ganeshkhind and is pretty close to E Square. If you know where the Agriculture College is, we are just opposite that. Being in a mall means our life is governed by the mall's rules and opening times. We spend most of our time on the shop floor, moving clothes from the racks to the fitting rooms and back again. It’s a lot of repetitive work. We have to make sure every shirt is on the right hanger and every price tag is visible. The mall gets very busy, especially when there are movies playing at E Square nearby. We see a lot of students from the Agriculture College walking through. Ganeshkhind is a part of town with a lot of movement. We spend our mornings setting up the displays and our nights cleaning the glass. It’s a lot of standing around on hard floors. Sometimes we get deliveries at the back of the mall and have to haul them all the way to the shop. It’s just part of the routine. We don't have much control over the environment outside our shop doors. We just focus on keeping our space tidy and helping whoever walks in. It’s a standard retail job in a busy mall. We just do what is required of us every day until it’s time to go home.
