We are located on the Mumbai Pune Road in Akurdi. This place is huge and has been around for a very long time. If you live in this part of town, you definitely know the Force Motors site. It’s like a small town inside the gates. We have thousands of people coming in for different shifts, and there is always a line of buses at the entrance. Inside the factory, it’s a lot of heavy machinery and the smell of paint and metal. You can hear the sounds of the assembly lines from quite a distance. It’s a very industrial atmosphere, very practical and focused on the work. We don't have many quiet spots here except for the canteen during off-hours. The buildings are old but sturdy, and they’ve seen a lot of different vehicles come and go over the decades. Walking from one end of the plant to the other takes a good bit of time. We wear our uniforms and follow the routine that has been in place for years. It’s not the kind of place with fancy glass walls or modern art. It’s a place where things are built. The sun sets over the workshops and the night shift takes over without a break. It is a massive operation, but when you’re on the floor, you just focus on your section and your tools. It’s a big part of the history of Akurdi, and we are just here doing the work.
