Our group, Dnyandeo Agrotech Farmer Producer Company Limited, is located in Chas, which is a small village in the Ambegaon area of Pune. We operate from Bhikaji Shegal’s place. Most of us grew up around here, knowing the land and how the seasons change in this part of Maharashtra. We decided to come together as a producer company to help with the agricultural work we all do anyway. It’s pretty quiet in Chas most of the time, except when there’s a lot of activity in the fields. We don't have a big marketing team or a polished office with glass doors. It’s just a practical space where we can meet and talk about our crops and the stuff that matters to local farmers. Sometimes things go well, and sometimes we have to struggle with the market or the pests, but that’s the reality of what we do. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not. We are just a bunch of people from Ambegaon trying to handle our agrotech business without too much fuss. It takes a lot of patience to work the land, and we’ve got plenty of that. Most days are long, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing the crops grow and knowing we are doing it together as neighbors.
