If you are looking for us, we are over at Ganga Smruti. It is Flat No. 1, right in Shukrawar Peth. This part of Pune is quite old and has a lot of character, though the lanes can be a bit tight if you are driving a big car. Devalacharya Associates Private Limited is the official name we use. Being in a flat instead of a big commercial building makes it feel a bit more like home, I think. We have the usual office stuff—computers, some chairs that have seen better days, and a lot of folders. The building is called Ganga Smruti, and it is a familiar landmark for the people living nearby in Shubhash Ngr. We don’t have a big sign outside or anything like that. We just go about our business quietly. Most mornings start with opening the windows to let some air in, though you get the dust from the street too. It is a busy area with shops and people constantly moving around. We do a lot of associate work, mostly handling files and talking to people over the phone. It is a humble setup, really. We have been in this location for a while and we know the local tea seller and the shopkeepers around the corner pretty well. It is just a regular place where work gets done without any fuss. We often end up working until late evening when the street gets a bit quieter and the temperature finally starts to drop.
