Deep Electronics

Deep Electronics is tucked away in the Nandanvan Shopping Center 2, over in Chinchwadagaon. I opened this shop because I’ve always been good at fixing things and I noticed there weren't many reliable places nearby for electronics. We handle all sorts of gadgets and repairs. The shop isn't very big, so it gets crowded with televisions and music systems waiting to be looked at. I usually have the radio playing in the background while I work at the bench. Chinchwadagaon is a nice area, and being in the shopping center means we get a lot of walk-in traffic. People bring in things their fathers used to own, hoping I can bring them back to life. It’s satisfying when you finally find that one loose wire or blown capacitor that was causing the trouble. We don't do much advertising, just a sign out front and the word of mouth from people in the neighborhood. I’ve got drawers full of screws and components that I’ve collected over the years. My hands are usually a bit dirty from solder and dust, but that’s the job. Sometimes the parts take a while to arrive, and I have to explain that to customers who are in a hurry. It’s just me and my apprentice most days. We try to be honest about what can be fixed and what’s better off being replaced. It’s a steady living.
