We are located over in Sadashiv Peth, near the Chikka Adugodi and Tavarekere 2/A area. The shop is mostly filled with blue plastic drums and glass carboys sitting on wooden pallets on the floor. There’s always a faint, sharp smell in the air from the different liquids we keep in stock, but you stop noticing it after working here for a few days. We spend a lot of time filling out delivery notes by hand and checking the labels on the containers to make sure nothing gets mixed up. The space is a bit cramped because of all the barrels, so you have to walk carefully through the narrow aisles. Most of our work involves loading and unloading crates from the small tempos that pull up right to the front door. We don't have a big storefront with windows; it’s more like a warehouse where people come when they know exactly what they need for their own small factories. The floor is stained in a few places where things have spilled over the years, despite our best efforts to keep it clean. We use a heavy metal trolley to move the bigger drums around because they are far too heavy to lift by hand. It’s a straightforward business of tracking our inventory and making sure the lids are sealed tight before anything leaves the building. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in every day.
