Chaitanya Bag House

We are tucked away at 1088 Magarpatta in the Shukrawar Peth area. This part of town has a lot of history and it's nice to be a small part of it. Chaitanya Bag House is a place where we sell all sorts of bags for people in the neighborhood. It is not a very big shop but we make the most of the space. Bags are piled up on the counters and hanging from the walls. Most of the time it’s just us chatting with the customers and helping them find something that fits their budget. Shukrawar Peth is a busy place with lots of small shops like ours, so it feels like a real community. We open up early in the morning before the heat gets too bad. It’s a lot of manual work, moving boxes around and keeping track of what’s sold. We don’t use any high-tech systems, just a notebook and some common sense. People know us for being fair and not making a big fuss about things. The building is old but it has character. Days are spent watching the street life and waiting for the next person to walk through the door. It’s a simple life but it keeps us busy and we like it that way. Most people around here know us by now. It isn't a bad way to spend the day.
