Our workshop is located at Hari Om Estate, shop number 16, in Loni Kalbhor. It's a decent-sized space but it feels smaller when there are three cars inside being worked on. We’ve been here for several years now, and we’ve seen the estate grow around us. Most of our work involves engine repairs and keeping older vehicles on the road. We don't have a lot of modern equipment, mostly just the stuff that has worked for us for decades. It's a bit of a drive from the main city, so we mostly serve the local folks and people passing through. The shop floor is stained with oil and grease, which is pretty much expected. We keep our spare parts in the back on some wooden shelves we built ourselves. It’s not the most organized place, but we know where everything is. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to use torches to finish a job. We just keep at it until the work is done. It’s a quiet life for the most part, except for the sound of engines. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy lounge or uniforms. We just wear our old clothes and get to work. At the end of the day, we wash up and head home, ready to do it all again at number 16 the next morning. It is what it is.
