We work out of House No. 432C(3) in Tamhane. It’s a quiet spot in the Rajapur taluka of Ratnagiri. If you know this part of Maharashtra, you know how beautiful it gets, especially when the monsoon hits. Being Literate was set up here because we wanted to stay close to our roots while helping people with their education and professional goals. It’s a local effort. We aren't a big city firm with hundreds of employees. Usually, it’s just a few of us sitting around the table, going through papers and trying to make sense of the latest requirements for the students and workers who come to us. Ratnagiri is famous for its mangoes, but there’s a lot of talent here that needs a bit of direction. Our address is 416704. The house is a bit old, but it serves us well. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If someone knocks, we just open the door and start talking. It’s a practical way to run things. Sometimes the internet is slow, or the power goes out, but we manage to get the work done anyway. We’ve seen many people from this village move on to bigger things after spending time with us. That makes the long hours worth it. We just keep our heads down and focus on the tasks at hand every day.
