Az Electronics

Out here at Gokak Falls, things move a bit slower than in the big cities like Bangalore or even Belgaum. Pramod Jadhav runs this Az Electronics shop from H. No. 29/1, and it’s a quiet enough place to work. Most of our days are spent waiting for folks from the local area to bring in their radios, televisions, or whatever else has decided to quit working. Being near the falls is nice, but the humidity can be tough on some of the older gear people have in their homes. I've got my workbench set up with everything I need, and though it’s not the most modern setup, it gets the job done for the people living around here. Sometimes I have to travel a bit to get parts from the main town, which can take up an afternoon. It’s a simple life, fixing things and chatting with neighbors who stop by for a bit of news. We don't have any big signs or loud advertisements. People just know where we are. If you’re at the post in Gokak Falls, you aren’t far from us. The shop is small, and I usually have some old parts lying around for salvage because you never know when an old piece of equipment might need a specific screw or a vintage capacitor that they don't make anymore. It’s honest work, and it keeps the mind sharp trying to figure out these electronic puzzles every day.
