Art Beat Design Studio

We are based at 10 Commercial Streets in the Market Yard area. Art Beat Design Studio is where we do all our creative work. It’s a space filled with color swatches, paper samples, and a lot of half-empty pens. We aren't the kind of studio that has a minimalist, white-walled look. It’s actually quite cluttered with inspiration and previous projects. Market Yard is a bustling place, and our little corner on Commercial Streets is no different. We spend most of our time on computers, but we still like to sketch things out by hand first. There are usually three or four of us around, depending on the day. We don't have a rigid schedule or a corporate structure. We just work on what needs to be finished. It’s a lot of trial and error until we get a design right. Sometimes we stay late when we're in the middle of a good idea, and other days we head out early if things are quiet. The building we are in is quite old, which gives it some character. We’ve got a small kettle in the corner for tea, which gets used a lot. We don't put on any acts here. We are just designers who like making things look decent. It’s a simple life, and being in the heart of the market keeps us connected to what’s happening in the city. Most of our work comes from people walking in or hearing about us from the neighbors.
