Anil Kulkarni & Associates

We have been operating out of Deccan 2/1204/13 for quite some years now. Anil Kulkarni & Associates is a small setup, nothing like those big corporate firms you see in the city center. It’s usually just us in the office, surrounded by stacks of paper and old files that probably need sorting out. We’ve seen the Deccan area change quite a bit, with new shops opening and traffic getting worse every year. Our office is a bit tucked away, which is actually nice because it keeps things a bit quieter when we are trying to focus. There’s always a faint smell of tea and old paper in the room. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the usual day-to-day tasks that come with this kind of work. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it stays silent for hours. We don't have a fancy reception area or a polished lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us hunched over a desk or looking through some blueprints. We just try to get the work done as it comes in. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we do. We’ve gotten used to the quirks of this building, like the way the door sticks in the monsoon. It’s just a practical place for us to work and meet people from the neighborhood who need our help with their projects. We keep things simple and try not to get overwhelmed when the deadlines start piling up.
