We’re located at Plot T 37 and T 38 in the MIDC area of Bhosari Industrial Estate. If you’ve ever been to Bhosari, you know it’s just row after row of industrial units. Our place is pretty much like the others—a large shed area with some office rooms attached. The yard is usually full of barrels or crates waiting to be moved. It gets quite hot under the tin roof during the middle of the day, so we usually take a longish break when the sun is highest. We have a small crew and most of us have been here for years. We know where every valve and every light switch is. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we’re more worried about the production schedule than how the place looks to outsiders. There’s a constant hum from the nearby factories that you eventually stop hearing. We don’t have a fancy website or a salesperson in a suit. If someone needs to talk to us, they usually just call the landline or walk through the side gate. We spend a lot of time checking temperatures and making sure the batches are right. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. When the weekend comes, we lock up the heavy gates and the whole street goes quiet until Monday morning starts it all over again.
