Based in Periyar Nagar, Rajagopalapuram, we run Shree Kavisha Exports And Imports. It is a bit away from the main city rush, which actually helps when we have to organize things. Most of what we do involves a lot of documents and keeping track of where containers are. It might sound interesting, but a lot of it is just sitting at a desk and making sure the numbers match up. We deal with various items that people want to send abroad or bring into the local market. The office is fairly quiet most of the time, except when the phones start ringing about a delivery. We started this because there was a need for someone local to handle these kinds of movements. It’s not a huge operation with hundreds of employees. It’s just us making sure the logistics don’t get messed up. Sometimes we have to go down to the shipping yards or talk to transporters for hours. The weather here can be quite dry, and the dust gets into the office if we leave the windows open too long. We don’t really do any big advertising. Most of our work comes from people who know us or have worked with us before. It’s a steady pace, and we just try to keep the errors to a minimum. We are just regular people trying to make the import-export process a bit less of a headache for everyone involved in the trade.
