Our shop is at 2662 Keela Raja Veedhi. We are right on the Main Road, very close to the bus stand. It is a very loud and active part of town. You can hear the buses pulling in and out all day long. The horns never really stop. We have been operating from this location for quite some time. The building is an old one, but it works for what we need. Inside, it is mostly just stacks of stock and a small desk where we handle the paperwork. It gets quite dusty because of all the traffic outside. We spend a lot of time cleaning the front area. Most of the people who come in are just passing by on their way to catch a bus. We know the other shopkeepers on the street pretty well. We share news and sometimes help each other out with small things. The space isn't very big, so we have to be careful about how we stack things. Sometimes we have to move three boxes just to get to one thing at the back. It’s just how it goes here. We don’t have fancy lighting or air conditioning. It’s just a regular shop on a busy road. If you find the bus stand, you’ve basically found us. We are just there doing the daily work, day in and day out. It’s not a glamorous life but it’s what we do to get by in this busy part of the city.
