Being near the bus stop makes it easier for people to drop by when they are coming from Pudukkotti or the other nearby villages. We are mainly a collection of farmers from this part of the district. Farming around here has its ups and downs, mostly depending on the rains and the market price for what we grow. We set this up because we needed a way to organize things better. Instead of every person going to the market on their own, we try to coordinate. Our office is just a simple room where we keep our records and talk to the members. It isn’t very formal. You’ll usually find a few of us sitting there in the afternoons after the morning work in the fields is done. We talk about seeds, fertilizers, and who is growing what this year. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit much, but we manage. We aren't trying to be some big corporation. We are just local people who know the land and want to make sure we can keep farming it. If you are looking for us, just ask for the place near the Kulamangalam South bus stop. Someone will point you the right way. It’s a busy little spot but it works for what we need.
