This is The Pondicherry Co.-Op. H/L Export Devl Project Ltd. We are located at No. P-433, specifically at No. 6, Muthia Mudaliar Street in Muthialpet. It’s a busy neighborhood and we fit right in. Our focus is mainly on the handloom exports, but the way we run things is pretty traditional. We work with a lot of local weavers to get the projects finished. The office on Muthia Mudaliar Street is where we coordinate everything. It’s usually cluttered with samples and shipping documents. We don't have a lot of staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from checking the fabric to packing it up. We aren't trying to be a big fancy export house. We just want to make sure the handloom work from this region gets to where it needs to go. The project has been running for a while now, and we’ve had our ups and downs. It’s honest work and it keeps a lot of families going. We don't use big words or make grand promises. We just look at the schedule and try to meet the deadlines. If you stop by, you might find us drinking tea and arguing about a shipping delay. That’s just how it is here. We focus on the practical side of the export business every single day, trying to keep the project moving forward for the weavers.
