Sri Venkatachalapathy Polytechnic College

Our college is located right at No 22 Phillai Nagar in the Mudaliar Pet area of Pondicherry. It’s a place where we teach technical skills to students who want to get into engineering or mechanical work. The building is a bit older now, but it serves its purpose well enough for the daily classes. We have students coming in from all over the local neighborhoods, and some even travel quite a distance to get here by bus every morning. Pondicherry is a nice place to be, and our corner of it is usually pretty active with young people running around between their workshops. We don't have a massive marketing team or anything like that; we mostly just focus on keeping the machines running and making sure the instructors are ready for the day. Sometimes the rain makes things a bit messy around the entrance, but we just clean it up and keep going. It’s a hands-on kind of place. You’ll see students in their uniforms working on projects or sitting under the trees during their lunch breaks. We’ve been part of this community for a while, and most people around here know the name. It’s not about being the flashiest school, just about giving people a trade they can use to make a living. We keep things simple and try to stay organized, even when the schedule gets a bit hectic during exam time or when the admissions season starts in the summer months.
