Offbeat Apparels India Private Limited

Our office is located at 16 Bellecombe Street, right inside the Goodwill Apartments. We are in unit GW-2 on the first floor. It’s a bit different running a business like Offbeat Apparels out of an apartment building, but it works for us. It feels a bit more personal than a cold office block. We have desks set up where the living room probably used to be. The kitchen is mostly just for making coffee and tea for the staff now. Bellecombe Street is usually quiet, which is nice when we need to concentrate on the designs or the paperwork. Sometimes the neighbors walk by and peek in, but mostly we just stick to our tasks. There are samples of clothing hanging on racks in almost every corner. It can get a bit cramped when a big shipment arrives and we have to move all the chairs out of the way to make room for the boxes. We don't have a big sign outside, so people sometimes miss us the first time they visit. It’s a simple setup where everyone knows what they need to do. We spend a lot of time on the phone or on our computers, checking on production and making sure everything is moving along. It's not a glamorous life, but we like the independence of having our own space in a residential area. It feels more like a small community than a corporate entity, which suits our style just fine.
