Mandala Apparels Pvt. Ltd. operates out of the All India Press Compound at number one. It is an interesting place to work because there is always something happening in the other parts of the compound. We have our own space where we focus on making clothes. You can hear the sound of sewing machines as soon as you walk through the door. It’s a very hands-on environment. We have tables piled with fabric and patterns pinned up on the walls. It isn't a showroom; it's a workshop. We spend our time checking the quality of the fabric and making sure the stitching is done right. Our team is small and we’ve all worked together for quite a while, so we don't need a lot of meetings to know what to do. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. The compound itself has an old feel to it, which we quite like. It’s a bit away from the main noise of the traffic, even though we’re in a busy part of town. We don't bother with fancy titles or corporate talk. We are just here to make sure the clothes get made properly and shipped out when they are supposed to be. Some days are long, especially when we have a big order to finish, but we just put our heads down and get it done. We’ve been here for years and hope to stay for many more.
