Ram Nath Singh Mahavidyalaya Degree College

If you are driving along the Kanpur Road in Kaushambi, you will see our degree college. It is a bit out of the main town, sitting right there on the highway. We get a lot of students from the surrounding villages who travel quite a distance to get here. The college is a large building, but it is quite basic inside. We have big lecture halls that can get a bit echoey when they are half empty. During the exam season, though, every seat is taken and the place is silent. We offer various degrees, and the students are mostly focused on getting their qualifications so they can find jobs in the city or back home. There is a lot of dust from the road, so we are always sweeping the floors. The staff room is a simple place where the professors sit and drink tea while discussing the day's schedule. We don't have any of those modern campus amenities like a gym or a fancy cafe. There is just a small stall nearby where people get their snacks. It is an honest place for people who want to study further but don't want to go all the way to a big city university. We handle things in a very traditional way, with a lot of paperwork and manual registers. It is just how we have always done it here in Kaushambi, and it seems to work fine for everyone who comes through our doors.
