Lala Jangi Lal Inter College

Down in Kohdar, part of Allahabad, you’ll find Lala Jangi Lal Inter College. We have been working out of this building for a long time now. Most of the students come from the surrounding villages and neighborhoods. It’s a busy place once the morning bell rings. We have different classrooms for the various subjects, and the hallways are usually full of teenagers talking between their classes. The building itself is old but it serves us well. We don't have any shiny brochures or a big marketing team. It’s just us, the teachers, and the staff trying to get through the curriculum every year. Sometimes the fans are a bit noisy in the summer, and the playground gets dusty, but that is part of life here. We focus on the daily lessons and making sure everyone shows up on time. Many of us have been here for years, so we know the families in the area quite well. It’s a local institution and people know where to find us in Kohdar. There isn't much fuss about how things look, we just care about the students finishing their studies and passing their exams. We keep the gates open early so the kids who walk a long way can get in and rest before the day starts. Our office is just a simple room with a lot of registers and files. We deal with the paperwork and the board requirements as they come. It is a very practical place for everyone.
