Ignited Minds

We are over in Katra at No 3. The bus stop is right nearby, so you can’t really miss the building. Ignited Minds is what we call ourselves. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us helping out with lessons after the regular school day ends. Katra is a busy place in Allahabad, and being near the bus stop means there's always a lot of noise and people around. We’ve been in this spot for a few years now. The rooms are filled with old chairs and some benches we’ve had since the start. It's not a corporate office, just a place where we do our work. We spend our evenings going over science and math mostly. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just the basics. It’s about getting the work done. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we’re usually too busy with the students to worry about that. People know us in the neighborhood. We see the same faces every day. We don't do much on social media or anything; word of mouth is how most people find us. It’s a simple life. We show up, open the doors, and wait for the students to arrive from the bus stop. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we have to use the emergency lights for a bit. It’s just one of those things you deal with in Katra. We keep a stack of extra paper and pens.
