Govt Inter College

This is the Government Inter College right in the heart of Allahabad. It’s an old place, and you can really tell by the way the walls look and the size of the heavy iron gates. Everyone in the 211001 area of Allahabad knows this school because it’s been here for decades. Many people in the city went here when they were younger, and now they send their own kids. The classrooms are big with high ceilings, but they can get quite dusty because of the open windows. We have a lot of students, so the hallways are never quiet during the breaks or before the morning assembly. You’ll see them in their uniforms, playing in the dusty courtyard or sitting under the old trees to get away from the sun. The teachers here are government employees, just doing their jobs and trying to get through the massive curriculum before the final board exams start. It’s a very basic environment. We don’t have fancy computers or air conditioning in the rooms. It’s just wooden benches, chalkboards, and a lot of textbooks. During the summers, the old ceiling fans struggle to keep the heat away, but everyone just gets on with it. The office is always full of stacks of paperwork because that’s how it works here. We don't spend any money on marketing. The school is just a part of the local landscape in Allahabad. It’s a simple, honest place for education without any of the extra bells and whistles.
