You can find us at Plot Number 35 in Jhalwa, Allahabad. This area has been changing a lot lately with new buildings going up, but our spot remains a familiar sight for the locals. The 211011 area is a bit on the outskirts, so it doesn't feel as cramped as the main city center. Our school building is a tall concrete structure that stands out against the flat land around it. There’s a lot of open space nearby, which means the wind blows through the corridors quite a bit. The playground is just a patch of land where the students play football or cricket when they have a break. Inside, the rooms are simple with white-washed walls and rows of wooden desks. We have a small office where we keep all the student records in big metal cupboards. The teachers come from different parts of Allahabad, some of them commuting quite a long distance every day to get to Jhalwa. We don't have any air conditioning, so we rely on the ceiling fans and the windows to keep things cool during the hot months. Life here is pretty steady. We follow the calendar, have our exams, and celebrate the local holidays together. It’s a practical place where the focus is on getting through the syllabus and making sure the students are ready for their exams. No frills, just a regular school day.
