K. R. Sea Foods

We are over in Subhash Nagar, which is a pretty quiet neighborhood for the most part. Our office is just a simple place where we manage all the sea food orders. We don't have a big fancy storefront. Usually, it’s just the sound of the freezer humming in the background and someone clicking away on a keyboard. We get our supplies from the local docks and then spend the day sorting through everything. It’s a lot of work to keep track of what’s coming in and what’s going out. Sometimes the plumbing acts up or the lights flicker, but we just deal with it. We have a small team of about five people. We don’t wear uniforms or anything; we just wear whatever is comfortable for moving crates around. The desk is always covered in sticky notes and old coffee mugs. We don’t have a marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches for us. We just know our business and we stick to it. If someone calls with a problem, they talk to one of us directly, not some machine. It’s a very hands-on kind of life. We like being in Subhash Nagar because it’s easy for the trucks to get in and out without getting stuck in the main city traffic. It’s just a normal business doing its thing every day. We don't overcomplicate things; we just handle the fish and keep the records straight.
